The legendary Frank Pape died eleven years ago, John. He was a real gentleman who I had met through my CPD father earlier in my career. Both retired as captains.

Well aware Frank died 11 years ago - Had the honor of being one of his pallbearers - the article was posted with the Tim McCarthy story as Tim's Dad who worked with Frank is prominently mentioned in that article and having been shot on the streets of Chicago...

Hi John. My grandfather worked under Capt. Pape in the robbery detail. I've been trying to do some research to learn more about his experiences and stumbled across your site. If you don't mind, if you happen to have any stories about my Gramps you could share? I would be very grateful. His name was Bob Sigel and I believe he was under Capt Pape in the 50s.
